Patient Information
Please note there are two tabs under patient information
On this screen there are a number of required fields, these are:
- Patient name
- Patient weight
- And shoe size
It is imperative to provide body weight to determine shell stiffness and therefore anticipate material deformation characteristics. i.e. Each material has a shell matrix indicating at what shell thickness it is semi-flexible, semi rigid or rigid.
We also require shoe size to firstly determine reasonably accurate full length and sulcus length top covers. Please bear in mind that the toe box shape is standardised by us unless you provide an accurate shoe template. Please be mindful that you will have to trim extensions regularly to fit certain toe boxes. We often make full length devices marginally larger allowing accurate fit by trimming with scissors at the forefoot only.
Secondly, lab technicians do not know the anatomy of the foot in a detailed manner and are taught to finish extrinsic support posts by shoe size to correspond with talo navicular and sustentaculum tali anatomy.
If the devices are for use in a specific footwear type, say a football boot, it is helpful to our operations team to let them know by entering this information into the Footwear Type text box.
On this screen you also indicate if you need to RUSH the order. By rushing an order the manufacturing lead time is between 5-7 days with 2-4 days for delivery. There are various considerations to determine when a rush order will be delivered please ask about Rush order lead times if you have need the product ASAP.
Second tab
On this screen you re-order an order you have previously placed using the FUSION app. Simply select Repeat Exact and submit the order number and submit the order
OR
Select Repeat with changes [as marked] by entering the order number and make the appropriate changes across the prescription as required.
Saved Favourites
FUSION allows you to save templates of common prescriptions you might frequently use. For example, if you tend to prescribe a lot of functional device type with a polypropylene shell, puff top cover and a 4mm heel cup, you can save this under your Saved Favourites drop down menu. Templates can be saved on the Order Summery and Submission screen by tapping the Open Favourite Saver button.
